A
novel method to politely enforce
discipline amongst commuters
has been initiated in the Delhi Metro by the CISF as part of a plan to enhance
the overall security arrangements at the rapid rail transport system.
Central
Industrial Security Force (CISF) guards the Metro network which runs across the
national capital and NCR regions of Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurgaon and Faridabad. Under
a pilot-project, the CISF has deputed a select group of its personnel and
officers who have started to fan across eight select Metro stations talking to
commuters about following few norms mandated for the security of passengers
like personal frisking and observance of rules on platforms.
